1S-LSD Ban 2025 – All the Key Info (Update: December 2025)

Short update

On 21 November 2025, the Bundesrat (Federal Council) adopted the Sixth Ordinance Amending the Annex to the New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG).

Following publication in the Federal Law Gazette, the ordinance entered into force on 02 December 2025.

As a result, 1S-LSD is now covered by the NpSG annex. The NpSG prohibits dealings with substances listed in its annex; in practice, enforcement and criminal liability are primarily aimed at conduct involving distribution (e.g., placing on the market / trading).

What happened?

On 13 May 2025, the BfArM expert committee convened and prepared a draft for the next amendment to the NpSG. It made one thing clear: 1S-LSD was intended to be banned.

In September, an unexpected twist followed: shortly before the Bundesrat session on 26 September 2025, a late proposal for a general ban was introduced, aimed at prohibiting all potential future derivatives.

However, in its counter-statement the Federal Government unexpectedly rejected the Bundesrat’s proposal, citing the principle of legal certainty — meaning that laws must be drafted clearly and unambiguously.

Instead, it announced that 1S-LSD would be specifically added to the annex of the NpSG via a separate ordinance.
That ordinance was adopted on 21 November 2025 and has been legally effective since 02 December 2025.

This marks the end of the legal availability of 1S-LSD in Germany.

What happened on our side around the effective date?

Because the ban had been developing over several months, we were prepared:

• We ran down our remaining 1S-LSD stock in a controlled way before the effective date.
• 1S-LSD is no longer available from us.
• Orders that were paid before the sell-out were processed as normal.
• Any orders that could no longer be shipped after the ordinance entered into force were cancelled and refunded.

What happens after the 1S-LSD ban?

After it became clear that the planned general class-wide ban would not go ahead, we resumed work on new, legal derivatives.

Quick update: a new derivative is now available: 1Fe-LSD.
