We have planted 6 trees per order till September 2023 and thus bind 1.2 tons of CO2 in the next 10 years, which are known to be the decisive years in the fight against man-made climate change.
Now we have talked to several organizations and experts in the field of effective altruism and have developed a new strategy from the discussions and information to donate more effectively.
We have also decided to support the non-profit Psychedelia Foundation, which was founded in December 2024. You can find more information below.
We want to make the world a better place and feel obliged to give something back. For this reason, we donate €1 per paid order.
We donate 60% to the Psychedelia-Foundation, 15% to Future Cleantech Architects, 15% to ProVeg and 10% to the Against Malaria Foundation.
The Psychedelia Foundation’s vision is to destigmatize psychedelics and their applications in society, to promote a rational approach to them and to connect the diverse groups of the psychedelic movement.
The mission is to promote culture and science, create educational opportunities and advise institutions, companies, political decision-makers and private individuals. They are also developing training for professionals and facilitators and want to offer retreats, self-awareness groups and the like for safe and mindfully guided psychedelic experiences in the future.
Future Cleantech Architects is a non-profit organisation that focuses on industries that are particularly difficult to decarbonise, such as steel, cement, aviation and shipping. Through scientifically sound analysis and policy advice, FCA helps to accelerate the implementation of effective climate protection technologies.
ProVeg is committed to the sustainable transformation of the global food system. Agricultural animal use contributes significantly to climate change, lifestyle diseases, world hunger and animal suffering. ProVeg works with all relevant stakeholders on the transition to a plant-based food system and has been awarded the United Nations’ Momentum for Change Award, among others.
The Against Malaria Foundation uses the donated money to distribute mosquito nets that protect against malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases. One mosquito net is purchased for every $2 donated and distributed in affected regions. Every year, more than half a million people die from malaria and others are affected for life.
